Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – Austell, GA, United States. Start date: 10/26/2026. 13-week travel assignment in a clinical setting. Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy medications and treatments according to orders and established protocols
- Manage ventilator care and related therapies in critical care situations with protocol-driven decision-making
- Perform patient assessments, develop and adjust evaluate-and-treat plans, and document care outcomes
- Educate patients and their families, coordinate activities with the care team, and support workflow for staff development
- Participate in the onboarding of new staff and contribute to ongoing education and professional growth
- Ensure accurate charting of therapies, results, and patient responses in the medical record
Requirements
- Active license to practice Respiratory Therapy in Georgia or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred or eligible
- Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience: 2+ years in critical care or ICU settings with ventilator management experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ability to work nights in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Eligibility for a travel assignment and ability to adapt to different care teams and environments
